DONOR PRIVACY STATEMENT

Utah Agricultural Land Trust (UALT) is committed to respecting the privacy of its financial and in-kind donors, whether the donation is made online, by mail, or any other method. When you make a financial or in-kind donation, you provide your name and contact information.  When we work with other companies to process credit card transactions, those companies use encryption and other appropriate security measures. Our vendors are bound by strict confidentiality rules.  We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ personally identifiable information with any other entity. In addition, we will not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.

PLANNED GIVING & LEGACY GIFTS

Who do you know who would want a continued lasting impact on land protection or do you treasure our precious agricultural lands in Utah?  Gifts in your or their names provide an important and lasting legacy. QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS & SECURITIES GIFTS

Donors aged 70½ can make tax-free donations from their IRAs to UALT.  This donation is excluded from the donor’s taxable income which creates a benefit to them and can be especially useful for seniors who must take required minimum distributions from their IRAs (known as RMDs).  This type of donation must come from the donor’s IRA administrator and not from the donor directly to qualify for the favorable tax treatment.  UALT also accepts gifts of stocks, bonds and other securities.  Please contact Edward Jones Investments concerning these types of donations at 435-753-2915.

DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

Donor-advised funds are a tax-efficient approach to managing charitable donations.  Please use DAF Direct for an easy way to contribute using donor-advised funds
